Krishna gives us pain cos he loves us n time to time he tests us where we really love him or not. This way he makes us to come near him.

hari bol!!! jai shrila prabhupadya!!!! May prabhu grant us the insight to step into this realm of transcendental bliss.

As per the question i with my little knowledge ,just want to add that whenever lord really feels very compassionate
for us first thing he does is to take away this moh for 'jagat' from our consciousness and this he accomplishes by taking away from us the most dearest to us.This then gives birth to 'vairagya' which could be short lived or permanent depending upon the 'sanskars' of the individual. After this our mind automatically surrenders to the lord which soon takes the shape of 'BHAKTI'.And only way to keep 'BHAKTI' alive in our heart is hari nam sankirtan...
"Hare Krishna Hare Krishna
Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Ram Hare Ram
Ram Ram Hare Hare
"

May this 'vairagya' gets steadfast in our heart and we never come out of the 'chintan' of krshna...

HARE KRISHNA
JAI SRILA PRABHUPADYA!!

Our pain as well as pleasure is due to our continued association with the modes of nature that's all. Not Krishna's fault. Pain and pleasure is the inevitable result of this association. So if we want out of revolving or occelating between pain pleasure cycle, which cause us to suffer and enjoy temporary existence over and over again, we begin the process of practicing bhakti yoga. This intails introducing into our lives association with Krishna's, name, qualities, pastimes, devotees, dham etc. These are all spiritual in nature and purifys us gradually from being attracted to the temporary false pleasures of this world. We transfer our conditioned tastes centered on this world to Spiritual Pleasures of practicing bhakti yoga sadhna. Cultivating spiritual relish is the real nectar of imortality. Our pain naturally fade as our spiritual taste increases.
